The cute Alia Bhatt inaugurated art exhibition SPLASSH in Mumbai yesterday. Alia revealed that she too is into charcoal painting and that she has a gallery of her work at her residence.
She also spoke about her upcoming films 'Highway' and '2 States'. Alia mentioned that her South Indian role in '2 States' is very different from Deepika's role in Chennai Express. She added that the two cannot be compared and that she would never be able to pull off the kind of role Deepika did.
Yesterday Alia Bhatt, looked cute in black spaghetti top and yellow skirt, as she graced the inaugural ceremony of the group painting exhibition SPLASSH at The Art and Crafts Gallery, Bandra. Punctual to the 'T', she was at the venue exactly at 4 PM.
Talking to media, the pretty 'Student Of The Year' actress said that she was there because of Smruti aunty (artist Smruti Bukhanwala). "I had realized that I too can paint when I was in 9th class and even have one of my charcoal paintings hanging in my room, so that everybody can praise it," she laughed
During further interaction Alia spoke about her forthcoming projects Sajid Nadiadwala's '2 States' and Imtiaz Ali's 'Highway'.
For the records - SPLASSH is a group show of paintings showcasing the works of various artists - Oil painting by Varsha Parikh and Smruti Bukhanwala, Graphic in Jute by Sandeep Ashar, Charcoal work by Kalpana Ved, Mix Media works by Varsha Thakkar and Deepa Dhuri and Abstract by Banglore Artist Madhushri Thirani.
